Chess Tutorial
Chess is a two-player strategy game played on a checkered board. Each player starts with 16 pieces that are moved according to strict rules, aiming to capture the opponent's pieces. The objective is to place the opponent’s king in checkmate, a position from which it cannot escape capture. You can challenge your friends to a game of chess through Navi!
Get Started
Command: Chess
To begin a game of chess, you and your opponent must start a game by saying Chess
Make Move
Format: Chess <position> to <position>
To make a move, you have to start each move with the Chess
command,
so if you want to move A2 to A4
You have to say Chess A2 to A4
Promote Move
Format: Chess <position> to <position> <piece>
If your pawn's move is promotional, you have to say which piece you'd like to promote it to at the end of your command!
You have to say Chess <position> to <position> <piece>
Here's a list of pieces you can promote your pawn to!
- KNIGHT
- QUEEN
- BISHOP
- ROOK
