Triggers are words you can customize responses for. For example, if a member says potato you can make Navi respond with Yum!
There are 2 types of triggers, containing triggers, and exact triggers
Exact Trigger only responds if it's the exact word mentioned
Containing Trigger responds if the word is anywhere in the message
We'll start off by teaching how to create Exact Triggers
To create an exact trigger is quite simple, you simply say Word == Response
This will create a trigger that sends Response when Word is said.
A very straightforward process!
To create a trigger that responds when the word is mentioned anywhere within a message, you simply use %c at the start of your trigger!
For example, if you want Response to be sent when Word is mentioned anywhere in a message, say %c Word == Response
To create a trigger that responds with an image, video, gif, or sticker when the word is mentioned, you use %i as the response!
For example, if you want to send a GIF when Word is mentioned, you say Word == %i
If you'd like to create a trigger that contains multiple responses randomly selected, you use += instead of ==
For example, if you'd like to make a response send a text & media, you say Word += Hey, this is multiple responses!
Then you say Word += IMAGE to append an image to the response!
The result will look like the following
If you'd like to copy the responses from 1 trigger to another, you can use *= instead of ==
For example, if you'd like to copy a trigger you already have named Word to a new trigger called Cat you say Cat *= Word
This will copy all responses from Word to the newly created trigger Cat
If you'd like to create a trigger only admins can use, use a= instead of ==
To delete a trigger, you simply say Delete word
Things to note, if you created a trigger using %c it must be included, for example, Delete %c word
To view a list of triggers you have made, say Triggers
If you'd like to delete all of your triggers and start fresh, say Delete ***
There are different flags available to create fun and interactive triggers, for example, using the display name of the user who uses the trigger!
We'll go through a few flags we have available to play with!
To use the display name of a user, you use NAME in the response!
To use the group's display name, you use GROUP NAME in the response!
To use the display name of a random member in the group chat, you use %rn in the response!
To select a random number within a range, you use %#, # being the maximum range.
For example, %100 will pick a number between 1 and 100, and %10 will pick a number between 1 and 10
You can make responses fancy in many ways, like bold or cursive!
We'll go through a few fonts we have available to play with!
To create a bold response, you wrap the word you'd like bold with * symbols.
For example, if you want to make the word bold send in bold, you say Word == Hey, this is bold
To create a cursive response, you wrap the word you'd like cursive with ~ symbols.
For example, if you want to make the word cursive send in cursive, you say Word == Hey, this is ~cursive~
To create an italics response, you wrap the word you'd like italic with / symbols.
For example, if you want to make the word italics send in italics, you say Word == Hey, this is /italics/
To create a crossed response, you wrap the word you'd like crossed with - symbols.
For example, if you want to make the word crossed send crossed out, you say Word == Hey, this is -crossed-
To create a randomly capitalized response known as mocking, you wrap the word you'd like mocked with ^ symbols.
For example, if you want to make the word mock send mocked, you say Word == Hey, this is ^mocked^
If you'd like to allow all members in the chat to create triggers without being an admin,
you can say Toggle Add which will allow all members to create triggers!
All of these fonts and flags can be used within the same responses, have fun and create unique ways to combine them and make fun responses for your groups!
All of these fonts and flags also work in stuff like welcoming, goodbye messages, removal messages, and all custom responses available!
